One of the most beautiful native grasses of North Carolina; more compact than some of the other bluestems - grows to about 3' tall and produces showy, silky seed fluff in the fall.

Seed origin: Forsyth County, NC
Prefers moister-than-average soil
Fragaria virginiana (Rosaceae)
Seed origin: Forsyth County, NC
The tiny berries are totally edible and taste amazing!
